cTrader Integration

Last updated: 29 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-29

This page explains what happens when you connect a cTrader account to LongShort PRO: who we are, what access we ask for, what data we receive, how we protect it and how to disconnect. The connection is governed by our Terms of Service, Trading Terms and Privacy Policy.

Who operates the integration

LongShort PRO is operated by Palina Keda, a sole proprietor entered in the Polish business register (CEIDG), NIP 9512640397, ul. Sarmacka 21 lok. 35, 02-972 Warszawa, Poland, support@longshortpro.io.

LongShort PRO uses the cTrader Open API provided by Spotware Systems Ltd (Cyprus). We are an independent application. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for Spotware, cTrader Ltd or your broker. Spotware and your broker are not responsible for LongShort PRO.

cTrader® is a registered trademark of its owner in the Spotware group (Spotware Systems Ltd, Cyprus, reg. no. HE 301668; cTrader Ltd, HE 263204). LongShort PRO is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Spotware Systems Ltd or cTrader Ltd.

What the integration does

What access we ask for

When you connect, cTrader ID asks you to sign in and choose which trading accounts to give LongShort PRO access to. We request the trading scope. It allows us to read account information and to place, modify and close orders. The Open API does not allow us to deposit, withdraw or transfer funds, and we never see your cTrader ID password.

Accounts you open later are not connected automatically. To add them, connect again.

Before we send you to cTrader ID, the dashboard summarises this page and asks you to tick a box allowing LongShort PRO to receive and use the data listed below only for the trading functions described here. We record your approval with its date and time. Without it we do not connect your account.

What data we receive and why

We use this data only to provide the trading functions of LongShort PRO. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or analytics, or share it with anyone except your broker through the cTrader Open API, and our hosting providers listed in the Privacy Policy.

How we protect it

How to disconnect

  1. Switch Automation off in the Automation section of the dashboard.
  2. Press "Disconnect cTrader" in the dashboard. We delete your tokens at once (in any case within 24 hours) and stop reading your account.
  3. Optionally, also remove LongShort PRO under Open API → Authorised Open API Applications in your cTrader ID (id.ctrader.com), if it is listed there. Disconnecting in the dashboard already stops our access, because we delete your tokens.

Disconnecting does not close your open positions. They stay on your account with your broker, and you manage them in cTrader.

After you disconnect, we keep the history of trades placed through LongShort PRO and the record of your consents for as long as described in the Privacy Policy, because we may need them to handle complaints and claims.

Risks

Trading leveraged products such as CFDs carries a high risk of losing money. Automated trading can open several losing trades in a row, and orders can be delayed, rejected or filled at a different price. Under Spotware's terms, orders placed by an application you connect, including automated orders, are treated as authorised by you, and Spotware is not responsible for them. Read the Risk Disclosure before connecting.
